Welsh Slate’s tableware brand takes to the skies.

Slateware, the prestigious tableware brand from Welsh Slate Ltd, is proving to be the perfect complementary product when it comes to serving up some of the world’s finest food at 30,000ft.

The range is being recommended by premium in-flight caterers On Air Dining, based at London Stansted Airport’s Diamond Hangar, which showcased the brand recently on the Channel 4 programme “The World’s Most Expensive Food.”

On Air Dining specialises in catering for long-range, wide-cabin business jets, with its in-house chefs designing bespoke menus for affluent and discerning clients that can cost upwards of £250 per person.

On Air Dining has also recently launched On Air Interiors, reflecting its belief that enjoyment of fine cuisine is enhanced by presentation.

Daniel Hulme, CEO of On Air Dining, argues: “Enjoyment of any meal is related to a combination of details. Whilst the menu is important, so is the presentation, environment and style of service, which is why we believe that selecting not only the finest ingredients for our food, but the finest flatware, crystal, china and serving dishes is so important. Slateware can add a contemporary feel to a modern classic.”

So, it is fitting that On Air Dining’s bespoke creations are now presented on Slateware’s bespoke slate plates.

Sales and marketing manager at On Air Dining, Guillaume Pourquie, is a firm proponent of Slateware.

“The natural look and feel of this organic material complements our premium quality food and it is increasingly popular with business aviation flight attendants who prepare our meals. Slate enhances our food creations and we look forward to a long term relationship with them.  At On Air Dining we pride ourselves in using only superior suppliers and we feel Slateware fulfils our expectations.”
