WOMEN IN PROPERTY SAILING TEAM RACE TO MARK THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY

TLC pr director Tracy Twitchin is competing in her fourth Little Britain Challenge Cup (September 6-8) as part of the all-female crew from the Association of Women in Property (WiP).

Women in Property celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and so, coincidentally, does the construction industry sailing regatta, so the team has chosen 2012 to step up from cruising to racing class to enable them to use a spinnaker to gain extra ground among the larger yachts.

The WiP crew, which has successfully defended the PRC Fewster Cup for 50% Female crew every year since 2007, is participating in its ninth consecutive campaign. WiP is also defending the Welsh Water Trophy for Alliance Teams and is looking to improve upon its best-ever performance in 2010 when the crew came fourth overall in the Tarkett Somer Trophy for cruising yachts and 17th overall out of 111 entries in all classes.

Carol Bell, WIP yacht crew captain and senior project manager at construction and property consultancy Robinson Low Francis, has again drawn together a multi-disciplinary team of six female built environment professionals from all over the UK, once again piloting the Royal Engineers Yacht Club's X332 Ilex of Upnor.

Crew list:

Carol Bell Robinson Low Francis, London
Lesley Logan Morrison Construction, Glasgow
Claire Parsons Sunrise Interiors, Port Talbot
Valerie Evans Atkins Global, Epsom
Louisa Richter von Morgenstern RVM & Associates, Fetcham
